I want additions underlined and deletions with strikethough. Did you verify that the display options for insertions and deletions are set to what you want in the Advanced Track Changes Options dialog box? Click the dialog launcher in the Tracking group, then click Advanced Options.

Things do not work as they are described in the Word Help feature. For instance, I cannot add words to my dictionary, the auto correct option is greyed out in the document. I have to go into the Options feature. I have lamented often as to why they keep changing Word each time they upgrade it.
