I've scoured forums and google for a few weeks now and cannot seem to find a resolution to this problem, so I decided it was time to create my own post here. The site list is on one of our network shares that everyone in the company has access to. Every new computer that I image however does not use Enterprise Mode on those sites like it should. Here is the part that is not making sense to me, I have verified that the GPO is applied on all these new machines.
I have also verified that the registry keys are there. However, it only fails for windows 10 ie11 enterprise mode not working free download Windows 10 image. On any Windows 7 machine that I image, Enterprise Mode works as expected. Additionally, I am running Windows 10 through Parallels and Enterprise Mode works on the sites as expected on my Parallels box. As well as, my manager has a Windows 10 desktop that he manually installed Windows 10 and joined to the domain, and it's working as expected for his box.
It's leading me to believe there is something in my Windows 10 image that is stopping this from working, I just have no idea what it is. There are only two custom edits that I have made to my Windows 10 image. This is due to the fact that we use Windows 10 Pro so some things we have to manage through the image rather than GPO. One of the edits removes some of the built in applications such as the Windows Store, Xbox app, etc.
The other custom edit just creates a start menu layout for our users. Neither of these I would assume would cause any issues with using Enterprise Mode. Also, just for information purposes we currently use MDT Update 2 for imaging. Hopefully someone has seen something similar to this and can give me some direction here. I hope I explained this well enough, it's my first post on any tech forums for help.
Thanks in advance for any help. Based on your description, this issue should be related to your image. But, I agree with you, neither of them cause any issues with Enterprise Mode. I cannot tell what the cause of this issue is. As a workaround, I can only suggest you download official Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft and install, then deploy GPO to remove the built-in applications and customize creates a start menu layout, see if it works for you.
